Research-Based Parent-Delivered Treatment for Children with Autism
Rosimery Bergeron is a QST Master Trainer and Therapist, certified by the Qigong Sensory Training Institute in Oregon. She delivers QST Massage to children with autism and trains parents and professionals to provide the treatment.
Founder and Director of the Autism Treatment Center of Bend, Rosimery was trained by Dr. Louisa Silva, the lead researcher for QST massage and founder of the Qigong Sensory Training Institute.
Rosimery Bergeron MS, CRC, LPC
Rosimery completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a graduate program in Clinical Psychology at Fluminense Federal University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
She holds a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Western Oregon University — where she taught from 2013-2017. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She has 30 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
From 2012 to 2015, Rosimery worked for the Teaching Research Insitute (now TRI) at Western Oregon University, participating as a QST therapist — treating children with autism and training their parents — in a major study funded in part by the U.S. Health Resources & Health Administration, Maternal and Child Health Bureau, and registered with the U.S. National Institutes of Health clinical trials registry (# NCT01801696). Published reports of this and other studies may be found at the QSTI website.
Rosimery has trained more than 50 families to deliver QST Massage to their children with Autism. In addition to her work at the Autism Treatment Center of Bend, she has given lectures and training sessions to parents and professionals in Brazil and Portugal, where she is the QSTI representative.
